New Site Design

chrishathway.co.uk
welcome to the new website. So here we are, version eight of chrishathway.co.uk. As many of the websites I’ve been creating of late have put my own site to shame I thought it was time for an update.

Theres a new section of ‘other projects’ which will feature more in-depth details of both website projects and new collections of artworks. I hope you’ll agree that this is an improvement and not just change for changes sake, as ever, comments are welcome.

you may well soon be able to download your very own copy of some of the artwork on this site onto your mobile phone. Oh, come on, I know you’re more excited than that… Well, actually, best not get too excited just yet as the whole things been dragging on for six months already…

Books

sorry to read about the passing of author and sometime actor Edward Bunker. His novel ‘No Beast So Fierce’ is a terrific piece of work.

Edward Bunker page at No Exit Press

On a more positive note its good to see that the new Richard Stark (aka Donald E Westlake) Parker novel, ominously titled ‘Nobody Runs Forever,’ does not see the end of crime fictions most single minded antihero. You can probably read the first chapter on his website, here.

Ashton Court Festival

enjoyed Bristol’s Ashton Court Festival over the weekend. I would place a photo or two here but alas forgot to load my cameras batteries – although with the un-illuminated hike down the rather steep hill out of the estate on the way home, pitch blackness might be entirely appropriate. (Rather than giving out folding Frisbees to the audience sponsors might like to consider mini-torches as next years promotional items, just a thought.)

Musically the Toxic Dancehall(RIP?) set was good fun and what I caught of Caroline Martin‘s set was good too. I think my highlight has to be the Pie Minister pies though(pic), superb.

Screamin’ Festival

Screamin' Festival

back from the Screamin’ Festival in Calella, nr. Barcelona, Spain. Personal highlights included a great set from the ‘Gin Palace Jesters‘ and also ‘Sid and Billy King‘. Some photos here.

As for this website, updates regards recent projects will be listed soon…

I expect more information on the next festival will eventually arrive online here.
